Lebanese President calls for continued dialogue

Called on Lebanese President Michel Suleiman, the country's political leaders to continue the dialogue to 
save the civil peace and to keep Lebanon away from the repercussions of the events around him, while an Islamic spiritual summit held in Beirut and expressed grave concern of the political tension that prevails in Lebanon.

A statement issued by the Presidency of the Republic of Lebanon, Solomon called for political leaders, particularly members of the national dialogue to "look to the supreme national interest before anything else and work on what would save the civil peace to keep the country safe from the repercussions of what is happening around us."
Suleiman was presided over meetings of the national dialogue between political leaders on Lebanon's defense strategy in light of the dispute over Hezbollah's weapons, and political leaders announced that they do not want to continue the dialogue, because of the arms to Hezbollah, and demanded the state to be the weapon under its command.


The President asked the Lebanese parties - according to the statement - to abandon their positions prior to the stated point of either declined to discuss the main theme and the only inscribed on the table, or third request adoption of this topic is discussed in the meetings before the dialogue.


He pointed out that the dialogue, an umbrella political and security of the reality-based, and stressed that "it is important to engage mind and heart open at all controversial issues, because it proved to our experience of Lebanon and the experiences of what happened and is happening around us there is no substitute for dialogue to find solutions to the problems at hand."


Solomon expressed the hope that she may clearly understand these leaders' data-based and engage in dialogue in the interest of Lebanon and the Lebanese, especially as the state of stability prevailing in general should be an incentive to work on the continuation and consolidation.


Spiritual Summit
On the other hand, held a summit in the spirituality of Islamic Dar Al-Fatwa in Beirut on Saturday, and expressed grave concern at the political tension that prevails in Lebanon and stressed the unity of Muslims in Lebanon.

The summit was held at the invitation of the Lebanese Mufti Sheikh Mohammed Rashid Qabbani, and included Sheikh Abdul Amir Kaplan, Vice Chairman of the Higher Islamic Shiite Council, Sheikh of mind of the Druze sect Sheikh Naeem Hasan, and the President of the Islamic Council, Sheikh Asad upper Asi.


A statement issued by the summit meeting that had "deep concern of the case of political tension gripping the country at the present time." They expressed their "fear of negative repercussions and dangerous to the general situation in the country."


The participants confirmed the need for "the unity of Muslims and to renounce temptations in front of any attempt to personalize sectarian any difference in views between the forces and figures, political, and adhere to fold the national unity and civil peace, and the letter from Lebanon in the co-existence, and the role of the Lebanese army in the maintenance of unity of the homeland and its people
